The HCTR runners emailed updates this weekend. Western States, 100 mile runs, all so amazing. I love how they motivate and excite each other. The sense of community and group push is inspiring.
I ran my 10 miles Sunday, and felt light as air until 7. In the last 3, I felt the weight of my body but no pain. No, I couldn't do it 9 more times! Maybe 1.62... almost certainly.
This morning, my fingernails are stained with thyme, mint, oregano, and basil. A cutting board and knife would have prevented this, but where's the fun in that? Freshly torn herbs are so much more tasty. These are, and always will be, the flavors of a nice summer weekend.
